To whom it may concern,
As you may all be aware, Our CEO Jeff Chiang was defamed by Reddit user in the Reddit post that was derived from Travis Doering’s blog post on September 18, 2018. Doering stated in his blog post that a person name Jeff is associated with the sale of NCIX data. Shortly after, a Reddit user named “400acres” starts to make the association that the “Jeff” in Doering’s post is Jeff Chiang, CEO of VLCANADA, along with Facebook and Linkedin urls. The allegation is completely false. To make it perfectly clear, He was not a system administer for NCIX and hence had absolutely no access to the servers and data at any material time. During the time of the operation, the former owner of NCIX, Steve Wu, is the person with exclusive access to the servers and such data. The liquidator, Able Auction, was the one in charge of selling all of the NCIX assets. The trustee for the bankruptcy, The Bowra Group, had control of everything after the filing of an assignment in bankruptcy of NCIX as of December 22, 2017. He did not come in contact nor had access to the servers or the data before and after the filing of an assignment in bankruptcy of NCIX.
As a result of the post by Doering and “400acres” on the privacyfly and reddit, there were derogatory comments sent to our company’s Facebook messenger as well as email inbox. There were also harassment messages sent to his family members and himself.
As of 5:43 PM, September 20, 2018, the moderator of Reddit post had stated that it is not Jeff Chiang and the “Jeff” was most likely an alias. Though the damage has been done and has now been cleared, We would like to inform all the vendors as a courtesy and reassure you that We take our professional integrity very seriously.
